Use different launchers for when I'm at home and away Keep my phone unlocked when at home and locked when I'm away I recently started using to bring back song recognition to Google Assistant :) So, what are you actually using Tasker for?Įdit: Wow, so many comments. Some cool tasker profiles for begineers 1 Create a sleep timer for the music player Create a task and then click on + Then browse in the order given : Media Media Controls Under cmd, press Stop Now go to the grid icon which is located at the bottom right of the screen and select the default music player application. It doesn't seem to work though with Amazon Prime Video.Īnd now I'm thinking that I've been missing a lot. To enable WiFi connection, you can use the Tasker profile when using Google Maps, which will save you time. I'm using this profile now for YouTube, Plex and Netflix and it works as expected. So I set up Tasker to automatically increase the brightness when the YouTube app is running in landscape mode (so that it only increases the brightness when I'm actually watching something and not just browsing through the app). However, when using YouTube, for example, I have to manually do it. This is no problem with MX Player as it has independent brightness settings. So whenever I'm watching videos on my phone, I like to pump up the brightness. It was recently on sale so I bought it figuring I would use it someday (and it seemed like a great app so why not support the developers anyway) but I didn't actually use it until yesterday. My profiles arent overly complicated, as i dont know how to use shell commands, intents, or things like that. I have known about Tasker for quite a long time but never actually found a use for it (my life isn't very systematic).
